VISA: Olympics

So, we’d just shot our new Olympics campaign and the pandemic struck. It looked likely that the games were going to be postponed (and they were), but our creative idea was built on the notion of bringing the world together, which was an idea that was unlikely to be relevant for some time.

We had shot lots of amazing footage of Olympians doing amazing things and wanted to see if we could repurpose this and encourage responsible behaviors to combat the spread of covid.

The creative teams had a very simple, clever idea. If we could get the Olympians to shoot footage of themselves at home performing a relatively mundane act, like washing their hands, we could juxtapose this with the amazing footage of their Olympic feats.

The creative construct was brutally simple: Don’t do this at home (Olympic feat). Do this (wash your hands). An important message at a time when we were mostly at a loss as to what we should be doing to combat the disease.
